Acting / Improv

Got a child who isn't into the whole singing-and-dancing thing? Explore creativity and acting through our comedy and drama camps!

In these non-musical camps, campers will work together to create a cohesive story and perform in on Friday. Throughout the week campers will learn physical & vocal warmups, play drama & improv games, receive focused instruction from theatre professionals, learn stage terms & theatre history, work on physicality and stage awareness, characterization, projection/enunciation, and so much more! Each group will rehearse together for a virtual performance at the end of the week!

Acting Camps (Hogwarts, or Jedi) the group will create their own characters, plot-lines, and performance pieces in the universe of their respective themes. Using the overarching concepts of each well-known story or world, the campers will apply conflict, character, story, and plot to devise a unique show each week. (Specific camp descriptions below).

Improv Camp-- this camp theme features all.the.games! Students will love this non-musical camp option with TONS of drama games, instruction in comedic acting & timing, rehearsal of comedic scenes, writing sessions to create original skits, and tons of improv exercises! Put it all together for a variety show at the end of the week! (Specific camp descriptions below)

Campers will also have the opportunity to participate in Daily Themes such as Meet-Me Monday, PJ Tuesday, Wacky Wednesday, Talent-Show Thursday, and Fancy Friday! And don't forget about the team-building creative projects and challenges: in-home scavenger hunts, creative costume design with items you already own, lip-sync battle, freeze-frame challenge, and more!
